This is a picture of Carmalita James, the
only daughter of Juanita, our Lamanite

3 years in Fillmore. The baby is her little
one Raedyn. We are so glad to be in touch
with Juanita and her little family again after
some years of no contact. We are glad to
see their accomplishments and proud to
have them as friends.

Feelin a little blue............

Just thinking as I was putting McCrae's birthday post up. It was 3 years ago on the 17th that we sent Grandma Great to live with Grandpa Dan again. I remember, because we held up her funeral because Shani was due with Crae that week. My how time flies. Seems like forever some days, and others, just like yesterday. I do miss her, and still find myself wanting to call her and tell her about something that happens. I wonder if that will ever go away? I just hope they are both happy, and busy doing what they should be doing?!

Get it past the Goalie..........

Friday night Jim and I grabbed Danelle and her kids,
plus a friend of Shay's, Hannah and headed out to
watch McKinley play soccor. She has had a good year
but we have not gotten down to see her, so what else to do
except get ourselves in gear...............

Well, wouldn't you know, tonight they got beat, by
a team from Provo. Just 2 to 0. Maybe we should
have stayed home. Think we were bad luck? Kin
was so tired, she ran all over that field. May be she
is related to Stetson.?! It must be in the genes.

After the game we were all starving and Tricia had a weddin
to go to, so Kylee came and met us at "Magelby Fresh" to
get some of that yummy food they serve. Not to worry, we all
ate healthy. It was so fun and nice to have Kylee with us.

The little ones ate in a booth and had breakfast,
the French Toast there is to die for. I don't know,
I think it affected their faces. What do you think?

Thursday night we went to watch Stetson practice for his Football game. The little guy ran his heart out and was so upset when they took him out. He just loves to be on the field and man does he tackle! There was another Cox kid on the other team and he was doing most of the plays for them, well........ Stetson got his number and he would run around everyone there to get that kid. And most of the time he would flatten him. Guess that is why he got "Player of the Week" last week. It was fun to watch, a little cloudy that day, therefore the pictures were not the best. but here he is getting a slug of Gaterade and his back to us, showing his name. Good luck on Saturday Stets!!!

45 years? Yee Gads.....

Jim and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on Saturday. I can't believe it has been that long. I told him that I have enjoyed the ride, bumps and all.
It has been interesting and hardly ever boring. He is so good to me, and always doing something for me. He came home from Stetson's football game with a beautiful vase of red roses and a card.
Thanks for the ride dear and I hope our trip keeps on going. I can't wait to see what the future brings. I am so glad I have you for Eternity.

Don't Cry Wolf........

Jim and I took a ride to Vernal yesterday to look at a Tent Trailer we saw advertised for sale. It was a long unproductive ride, as when we got there the crazy thing had been built in Texas, and did not have a heater in it.( The lady neglected to tell us that on the phone) Since I nearly froze up Huntington Canyon on our Family Reunion, we knew I needed a heater and didn't want to go thru the hassle of installing one. ANYWAY..... on the way back I mentioned to Jim that I had brought my new book with me that I had been reading and that the author lived in Duchesne.
Those of you that know Clair M. Poulson, know that he is a Duchesne native.
Anyway, in the back of the new book it said that he was helping his son out at his store, A L Foodtown. So Jim proceeds to say. " Let's stop and meet him." HA HA you know me, not on your life would I do something like that. But as we pulled into town, Jim drives into the parking lot and says " I will not leave town without seeing him." So I said " Take my book", and in he went. I thought someone had gobbled him up , as so many people came and went, and still no Jim. Well, let me tell you what an awesome guy Clair is, he was not at work that day, had been in the store earlier and had gone home . So the girl at the desk said ,"Just let me call him. ' He CAME BACK to the store, and autographed my book. Jim told him how much I liked his books, and that his was the only books Kristin would read. He also told him to keep writing. Clair said, " That is what I was doing when they called me." Can you imagine, he stopped writing, to come sign my book!!!
I can't wait to read his new one, now I will be thinking the whole time, " is this where he stopped to come sign my book?" I know, I am nuts. But it made the trip more productive. Although, the best part, was just spending the day with my Sweeti. Thanks Jim , for doing that for me.

Mini Gustav......

We had our own wild storm here in Utah on Sunday night. Those little windmills Jim has in his garden were going 90 miles an hour, and as you can see, the neighbor's Poplar tree broke off and fell over our fence into the garden. The rain on my window makes it a little hard to see it all, but we were so glad to get some rain. It's been a dry summer. I guess you have to take the bad with the good.
