Delivering Christmas.......

Monday before Christmas, we took off to deliver presents. We went to Cedar first and enjoyed all their Christmas spirit........

Erick got a new hat from the fire chief. That bugger is heavy.

Kimber was full of the" spirit".
After a great meal, we enjoyed our evening watching" Mr. Kruger's Christmas" , while Kimber and Kasey tied a quilt. After a good nights rest (thanks again Kyle for your bed), we headed for Monroe. A storm was expected, but it was not bad.
We got there in time to enjoy Syd's play. Her 6th grade did CharlesDicken's
Christmas Carol. She was one of the storytellers named Holly.
Great Job Syd. We are proud of you. We really enjoyed it. Lots of talent for
6th graders.

We stopped by Syd's locker. Ya know, she's in middle school now. I think she really likes her school. It is just a few blocks from their home.
After we went home , ate and then the kids opened presents. The snow had really started to come down by then, but we headed out in 4wheel drive and after 3 long hours. We got home safe and sound. Thanks Jim.

No more presents to unwrap!! We need everyone here to make it more fun.
Erick, Chris, Matt.....next year PLEASE!!!!

Tricia entertaining us..............

SHAY TURNED 12..........

Although Shay's birthday wasn't until Sunday, she had a little get together on Saturday for cake and ice cream. Here she is blowing out her candles. 12 of them. She is starting Young Women's . How time flies!!!!!!

Here she is opening her presents, with McKinley, Colt and some of her friends looking on.
She got a big drawing pad from her Grandma B. Shay loves to draw and has her own easel and stool in her room.

Colt made a real cute present of himself.
It was a lot of fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAY!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Sleigh Riding ...............

Matt and family came up Friday for a sleep over and Saturday morning while Nell and I were at W. W. and Matt and Shani went shopping, Grandpa Jim took the kids to the park for some fun in the snow. ( if you look real close you can see Jim's black eye and 7 stitches he got helping McCrae put his PJs on the night before.) Here are Sadie, McCrae, Stetson, and Colt.

This beautiful winter picture is of Sadie, Shay, Colt and Sydney. They sure had fun.

1st Grade Christmas Program

Colt had his Christmas Program tonight and Jim and I were able to go watch him sing. They did some really cute songs, and Colt has the cutest facial expressions. He also pulled some funny faces. I didn't get any pictures of him during the program, but here is one of him after.
He really fit the song" All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth". Course, most of the kids up on stage probably fit the song. Way to go Colt! Good Job

Temple Christmas Lights........

After the Eagle Ceremony, we headed for the Mesa Temple to see the lights. It is a lot different walking around in warm weather enjoying the lights. It was a
marvelous sight. Love the reflection in the pool.
I told Kimber, " Bet this is the first time you've seen palm trees with christmas lights" She said, " Probably the only time I will." Pretty, Pretty

What a cute bunch.

Another Eagle....

Another reason for us going to AZ was that Brennon has finished his requirements for his "Eagle Scout Award" and was presented this award at a Court of Honor on Saturday. Here he is getting it pinned on him. With Chris and Wylene looking on.
Here are Brennon, Chris, Jim, and Kyle
Brennon also presented his Grandpa with the mentor pin. For all his bugging him to finish.

Here are two of our Eagles...........

How many Coxes does it take to fill a punch bowl? Looks like the whole clan. No, they were great help.
Here is another one of Wylene's masterpieces. She did a
great job.
We are very proud of you Brennon. Way to Go.

Thanksgiving............

This year for Thanksgiving, Jim and I picked up Kyle, and Kimber from Cedar and headed south to AZ. Here we are in Mesquite looking for a Geo Cache. We never did find it. But found one across the freeway. It sure helps to get out and stretch .
It was exciting to see the progress on the bridge at Hoover Dam. Kimber and I still don't know if we want to travel across it when it is finished. It is so high!!!

Sorry this picture is out of place, but after dinner, they cleaned off the table and WAALA there was a pool table.
Kyle and Brennon challenged each other. As well as a few others. You will see Brennon further down the blog.

In the morning, after Chris, Wylene and Gentry went and participated in the Turkey Trot at the park and Chris played football, they came home and watched the parade and football game . I had printed out a bingo for both and the kids had fun filling out the bingo's and picking out their candy from a bagful I brought.

Then we headed for Queen Creek, where Wylene's Mom and uncles live. That is where we had dinner. Out on the patio we found "the bird" that Chris's family used to have. Colt, do your remember this little guy who say's "Hey Birdie". He still says it, Chris said, " Don't get him started."

Wylene has a tradition of making a cornucopia out of bread and filling it with lots of yummy vegtables. She followed through this year, and we all nibbled on it until dinner was ready.
Here is the other picture of Brennon playing pool. I wanted them both after the pictures of the dinner, but couldn't drag them there. Sorry.

Here are the guys giving a toast for all they are thankful for. Notice they are all in shades of black. Not planned!
Jim, Kyle, Chris , Shawn, (wylene's bro), Brennon, Camden (shawn's son)
Courtney and Kimber had their own toast.

Courtney, what big eyes you have!!

Kimber, what a cute smile you have!!!!

Wylene has been doing a lot of cake's for people and this is one she made for a girl's birthday. You rock girl!
She even made the decorations from sugar and made her own fondant from marshmellows and powdered sugar. That girl is talented!!!

Here is Kyle on one of those tiny motorcycles. He and Brennon were working on it trying to get it fixed up.
All in all we had a great Thanksgiving. The food was so yummy and the company some of the best. What more could you ask for.
